Wildlands is Brisbane's big New Year's Eve festival at Brisbane Showgrounds, with a Perth edition at Arena Joondalup a couple of days later. More than 30,000 people were expected at the Brisbane NYE show in 2024. That means a long, hot, humid day that turns into a midnight countdown, so your outfit needs to work at 2pm and at 12am.

Dressing for a Brisbane NYE festival
Brisbane at the end of December is hot and humid, often with an afternoon storm. Choose breathable fabrics, skip anything heavy, and pick shoes that can handle a wet patch. Then add the NYE sparkle: sequins, metallics or glitter that look good under lights after dark.
